Welcome

I came to FarmstripFlying for a few days to further my tailwheel experience and to gain an exposure to flying into smaller and more challenging grass strips. 

From my initial contact with Matt he was super friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. Matt made me feel really welcome and immediately put me at ease with his calm manner. His instructional style is spot on; sufficiently relaxed to allow you the capacity to operate to your best, but not afraid to provide prompts and helpful advice where necessary.

The flying itself is something else. The cub gives exposure to a whole new world of flying with real raw stick and rudder flying and the ability to land and takeoff from places I previously wouldn't have even considered possible. Matt is clearly very knowledgeable and respected within the local area, and managed to arrange landings and some very cool and varied strips around the area. I also flew my first ever PFL to an actual field which was a unique and confidence building experience!

Matt is obviously a passionate aviator, and this is reflected in his operation. The price is incredibly affordable (especially considering you're flying a real warbird!) and his timings were always flexible. Unlike some of the larger organisations you really feel like there isn't a big push to squeeze you for every penny you have, Matt works to your schedule and tailors the training to your needs and goals - I never felt pressure to do anything I didn't want to do. 

I cannot recommend FarmstripFlying enough, every aspect was fantastic. It genuinely felt like flying with a mate and I can't wait to do more flying with Matt soon!
